RELEASE OF LIABILITY
I, the undersigned, am registering for classes in Yoga instruction at The Yoga Room and do so under the
following conditions:
- I understand that the classes are not being offered for any medical or healing purposes and that I
should inform the instructor of any physical condition that may be affected by a Yoga practice. I also
understand that yoga includes physical movements and as is the case with any physical activity, the
risk of injury, even serious or disabling, is always present and cannot be entirely eliminated.
- I understand that this method of teaching Yoga includes the use of various props and equipment,
including fabric slings which are suspended above the ground. I acknowledge that there is an inherent
risk in the use of this equipment and that no amount of caution, instruction and expertise can totally
eliminate all potential hazards.
- When using Yoga slings, I understand that the hardware could become damaged or defective. I am
able to examine and assess the equipment that I use during class and if the equipment appears in any
way damaged or defective, I will bring it to the attention of The Yoga Room staff.
- I confirm that I am physically and mentally capable of taking part in Yoga classes and if at any time my
condition changes, such that I am not capable of participating in classes or using the equipment, that I
am obligated to cease my participation in the activity immediately.
- In consideration of my participation in Yoga classes at The Yoga Room, I accept any and all
responsibility for and assume the risk of any and all injury or damage to my person that might arise
either directly or indirectly as a result of my participation in this activity. I expressly release, discharge
and hold harmless from any liability whatsoever the instructor or assistant(s), substitute instructors,
any and all participants, as well as the owner of the premises at which such instruction is given.
- I have read and understand the contents of this release and note that my participation is purely
voluntary and I elect to do so in spite of the risks.
