Aerial classes offer students a fun and different way
to approach their yoga practice.  With the help of a
fabric sling suspended above the ground, the
dynamic of one's practice is changed in a number of
ways.  When suspended, the spine naturally
decompresses and the pressure on joints is greatly
reduced, allowing for more ease in doing a wide
range of poses.  Backbends and inversions are
much more accessible to students.  By reducing or
totally eliminating 'weight-bearing' on the joints,
flexibility increases significantly.  But don't be
fooled...this is also a surprisingly intense "core"
workout since you can't help but engage your core
muscles to balance and steady yourself while
suspended! Despite it's newness, Aerial Yoga
classes remain as true to the principle of Yoga as
Traditional Yoga classes.
